This document (click here) is the most current procedure for drop off and pick up. In order to minimize the opportunities for close contact, doors will be open at 8:30 and students should be dropped off by 9:00 at the latest. Drop offs after 9:00 must enter at the south west door and proceed to reception for temperature checks. The Alberta Government has spent $2.7 billion over 13 years to reduce class sizes, according to the Edmonton Journal today. We thought we’d post information about our average class sizes so no one had to go through the trouble of filing an information request. Average class sizes for Progressive Academy 2017-18 K-3: 14.8 4-6: 16 7-9: 17 Not only do we maintain low class sizes, students at Progressive Academy are grouped so that their abilities are similar to their classmates. On Saturday, January 21st, 2017, Progressive Academy Grade 4 – 6 students took part in the FIRST Lego League Tournament at NAIT. This year’s theme was Animal Allies. Students researched human and animal interactions, identified a problem, and posed a solution. They then had an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills at the tournament. Teams were judged on several criteria. Progressive Academy’s FLL teams placed extremely well! The Potters took second place in programming, while the RS Robotics Squad paced first in Teamwork!  We are very proud of our enthusiastic and competent students.
